“The World is Cracking” Exhibition Opened in Kyiv
On August 14, 2026, the Dukat Gallery hosted the opening of a new project by the Good Art workshop, an initiative of the Good People inclusive platform — the exhibition “The World is Cracking”.
The exposition brings together works by artists with intellectual and mental disabilities who, through painting and graphic art, reflect on the contemporary experience of war, memory, loss, and hope.
“The World is Cracking” is a space for dialogue and an opportunity to be among the first to see the works of authors whose voices are just beginning to resonate within the Ukrainian cultural landscape.
As the organizers note, each work presented here is not a documentary illustration, but an independent artistic expression and a profound personal quest for an answer to the question: “What helps us hold together when the world is cracking and exploding?”
The featured artists represent diverse paths in art:
- Vadym Tereshchenko and Andrii Neshcheredov — residents of psycho-neurological care homes, for whom creativity has become a space of freedom and a way to build a world of their own, despite their restricted conditions.
- Andrii Klymenko and Mykola Tymoshenko — artists who came to art through formal education and the study of applied arts.
- Kseniia Ovchynnykova — an artist who picked up acrylic and oil paints for the first time, expanding her boundaries beyond digital art.
About Good Art:
Good Art is a workshop for artists with intellectual and mental disabilities, a project by the Good People organization. It is a platform where artists develop their own style, work on design projects, and reach beyond the workshop to be seen and heard by the world.
The exhibition will run until August 31.
